Petra Pongratz is the Executive Director of „füruns – Zentrum für Zivilgesellschaft“ as well as the Head of the Service and Competence Center for Voluntary Engagement in Austria freiwillig-engagiert.at.

Her work focuses on strengthening volunteer engagement, developing new approaches and programs and improving the framework and conditions for volunteers and civil society organizations. She is the spokesperson for ARGE Freiwilligenzentren Österreichs, member of the Austrian Voluntary Council and co-leader of the working group on Austrian Health Target 5, “Strengthening Health Through Social Cohesion”.
