Ken Bluestone leads Age International’s policy and influencing work on issues affecting older people in low and middle income countries. A key priority for Ken is strengthening the rights of older people globally and advocating for a UN Convention on the Rights of Older Persons.

He was previously Chair of the Global Alliance for the Rights of Older People (GAROP) and one of its founders. His work for Age International focuses on government relations, engaging with UK parliamentarians, developing research, and building relationships with stakeholders who have a policy interest in ageing, human rights and international development.

Ken has worked for over 30 years with a wide range of NGOs in the international development sector.
