Volunteering in Europe: more than a challenge!

On the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the Austrian Volunteering Act, the Federal Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Consumer Protection is organizing a conference on current issues for volunteering in Europe in collaboration with the European Volunteer Centre (CEV)

About 180 participants from Austria and across Europe representing volunteering organisations, political and administrative authorities and academia will gather to exchange on current activities and initiatives in the voluntary sector, to focus on common developments of volunteering and to elaborate a common point of view towards future challenges as well as to consider new strategies for volunteering.

The Conference encompasses three panels: (1) Volunteering, employment and employability, (2) Full time voluntary Service, (3) New trends and profiles of volunteers for the next decade. Each panel will be organised in a different way in order to involve the audience and have a more interactive dialog. The audience will also have the opportunity to convey questions either in advance or during the presentations by means of the mobile application (Conference APP).

Conference languages: German, English and French (simultaneous Interpretation)
